近五年代表性成果包括:国际上首次提出“冰期热带陆架风化”假说,认为冰期低海平面暴露的热带陆架硅酸盐风化增强是重要碳汇,为冰期CO2之谜提供了新机制,并成为IODP建议书-巽他陆架钻探的拟检验科学假说;对构造时间尺度西太平洋风尘沉积历史和效应开展了系统研究,重建了亚洲内陆长期干旱和植被历史;揭示了第四纪黄海黄河演化历史,发现中更新世黄渤海大规模海侵起始和黄河的形成;发现黑潮入侵下东海陆架物质的跨陆架输运;基于边缘海沉积记录发现人类活动在2-3千年前已超过气候变化对大河流域风化侵蚀和火活动的影响。
