近五年代表性成果包括：国际上首次提出“冰期热带陆架风化”假说，认为冰期低海平面暴露的热带陆架硅酸盐风化增强是重要碳汇，为冰期CO₂之谜提供了新机制，并成为IODP建议书-巽他陆架钻探的拟检验科学假说；对构造时间尺度西太平洋风尘沉积历史和效应开展了系统研究，重建了亚洲内陆长期干旱和植被历史；揭示了第四纪黄海黄河演化历史，发现中更新世黄渤海大规模海侵起始和黄河的形成；发现黑潮入侵下东海陆架物质的跨陆架输运；基于边缘海沉积记录发现人类活动在2-3千年前已超过气候变化对大河流域风化侵蚀和火活动的影响。

 研究组近五年发表论文60篇，其中SCI文章45篇，包含JCR一区32篇，主要成果发表在发表在Geology、Earth and Planetary Sciences Letters、Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta、Quaternary Science Reviews、Geophysical Research Letters等国际地学高水平期刊。
