李阳，男，副研究员，海洋生物学专业，致力于中国海与西太平洋珊瑚亚门物种多样性与系统演化研究。发表学术论文30余篇。承担科研项目20余项，包括主持3项国家自然科学基金项目。以第一/共一作者发表海葵目、石珊瑚目、柔软珊瑚目、硬软珊瑚目等类群2新属、18个新物种。当前正综合运用形态分类学与分子系统学（基于基因组单拷贝序列、超保守原件与线粒体基因组）开展红珊瑚科等珊瑚亚门代表类群的物种多样性与系统演化研究。

五、研究成果及奖励         

系统开展了中国海海葵目的分类学与区系特点研究，发现多个新物种和中国海新纪录种，首次提出并论证报道了中国海海葵目物种多样性“南海最高，黄渤海次之，东海最低”的特殊分布格局与驱动因素。当前致力于西太平洋深海珊瑚亚门的物种多样性与系统发育研究，重建了花羽软珊瑚亚科等类群的系统发育关系，修订了相关分类系统。利用三代测序技术与Hi-C技术合作测定了多个物种染色体水平的基因组。发现深海“不同海山间的生物种群连通性较低，但多数物种在大尺度地理范围内分布较广”的分布模式。
